AceShowbiz - Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter and Tesla, is planning to establish an extravagant family compound in Austin, Texas, where his eleven children and two of their mothers can reside in adjoining properties.
According to sources familiar with Musk's plans, he envisions his younger children having a close-knit relationship within the compound while he allocates his time among them. One of the properties is a 14,400-square-foot mansion resembling a Tuscan villa, while directly behind it is a six-bedroom mansion that Musk helped purchase. The combined cost of these properties is approximately $35 million. Musk also has access to a third mansion within walking distance for his own use.
Musk's family situation is unconventional, to say the least. He has at least 11 children with three different women: nine with his first wife, Justine Wilson, three with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, and three with musician Grimes. While Zilis has moved into one of the homes with her children, Grimes is currently engaged in a custody battle with Musk. Justine Musk, on the other hand, is not known to be living at the compound.
Musk's grand family compound is driven by his concerns about declining birthrates and his desire to repopulate the planet. Zilis, who holds an executive position at Neuralink, is the only mother who has moved into the compound so far.
The compound is located in a wealthy neighborhood of Austin, where Musk's companies have a significant presence. He has reportedly offered homeowners significant sums above market value to acquire properties and required some to sign non-disclosure agreements.
While the future of the compound remains uncertain, it is a testament to Musk's unconventional and ambitious approach to family and legacy.
