AceShowbiz - Just a week after Zach Bryan publicly announced the end of their relationship, the Barstool Sports personality, Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia, stated that her mental well-being is her top priority. Addressing her podcast's TikTok followers, Brianna explained that there would be no new episode of "BFFs" that week.
"Hey guys! We tried to record this week but I am having a very hard time figuring out how I want to handle this publicly due to all the backlash," she wrote. "I am going to put my mental health first this week."
Brianna, supported by her co-hosts Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy, emphasized, "I need to prioritize the right things this week," and hoped that fans would understand her decision.
The couple's split was made public by Zach Bryan through an unexpected Instagram post on October 22, where he cited having a difficult year and needing to take separate paths for mutual benefit. This news came as a shock to LaPaglia, who later revealed in a tearful YouTube video how blindsided and heartbroken she felt, having cried for five days straight.
The split appeared to stem from personal and lifestyle differences. "His lifestyle is not conducive to a serious relationship," a source mentioned. This rocky dynamic, mixed with the pressures of public scrutiny, drove Brianna to step back from social media entirely.
Expressing her frustration, she shared on Instagram, "Not allowing the internet to take over my personal relationships anymore. Need to set some boundaries and keep some things to myself."
Further clarifying her stance on privacy, LaPaglia responded to rumors about a potential rift with her co-host Grace O'Malley due to not publicly wishing her a happy birthday.
"Grace has been like a sister since I was 15 years old. I wished her a happy birthday privately," Brianna clarified, highlighting her stance against sharing personal relationships online. Emphasizing the stresses of public life, she added, "I'm having a week from hell and I'm tired of having to feel the need to explain myself to people who don't know me."
In a cryptic post shortly after the breakup, Brianna echoed her sentiments on dating public figures, a topic she broached in the "Talk Tuah" podcast. "Don't date famous people. I think it's better for the mental to not date someone famous. It's a lot," she stated, acknowledging the added pressures and challenges that come with such relationships.
As LaPaglia continues to navigate this difficult period, she remains committed to prioritizing her mental health and managing her personal experiences more privately. Her return to social media and public life will be on her terms, when she is ready to face the world again.
