AceShowbiz - Woody Allen and his wife Soon-Yi Previn made an appearance at an event in New York City. The couple was seen attending a launch party for a sex app at literary staple Daphne Merkin's Upper East Side abode.
According to Page Six, Woody was seen talking "cheerfully" with other guests at the soiree, which was held by Merkin. Merkin is a decades-long friend of the "Annie Hall" director who wrote a New York Magazine piece on Soon-Yi back in 2018.
For the outing, Woody wore a gray knit vest that he paired with beige pants. He additionally wore a brown bucket hat. As for Soon-Yi, she donned a black-and-red patterned dress with a bow detail on the neckline. She additionally had a black bag with a black fur jacket in one of her hands.
The outlet, however, claimed that Woody "didn't stay for long" at the party. Organized by publicist Kaitlin Phillips, the bash was for "the launch of a heavyweight literary magazine made by" the app Feeld which calls itself "the dating app for the curious." Through the app, its members can search for potential hookup scenarios that include a range of options such as MF, FF, MM, FFM, MMF, MFMF, MMMM and FFFF; voyeurs and celibacy, according to the outlet.
In addition to Woody, other notable figures attending the party were Feeld CEO Ana Kirova, painter David Salle, novelist Emma Cline, and journalists Candace Bushnell, Paula Froelich and Molly Jong Fast.
Woody and Soon-Yi's appearance at the party came as a rather shocking movement, Page Six pointed out the couple has been "notably missing from the cocktail party circuit" in Gotham in the wake of pushback amid the #MeToo movement.
The disgraced director was infamously accused of sexual misconduct by his adopted stepdaughter Dylan Farrow in 1992. He denied the claims and wasn't charged following a 1993 probe by authorities in Connecticut.
