Victoria Monet is adding children's book author to her impressive resume with the release of "Everywhere You Are" in summer 2025. The book, featuring illustrations by Alea Marley, is designed for children ages two to five.
The story revolves around a moon comforting a young star as they part ways. Monet, who balances motherhood with her career, hopes that the book will provide a sense of comfort and reassurance to families struggling with separation anxiety.
"Reading drafts to my daughter, Hazel, gave me peace knowing she can carry Mommy with her wherever she goes," Monet said.
The mother of three has found ways to incorporate her family into her work, including her chart-topping song "On My Mama" and featuring Hazel on her Grammy-winning album, "Jaguar II".
"Everywhere You Are" is a testament to Monet's passion for writing and her dedication to her fans. The book is a lyrical and heartwarming tale that will resonate with children and parents alike.
"I'm passionate about the subject of the book and explaining it in a way that is digestible for a child," Monet said. "I can't wait to share it."
Monet's debut children's book will be available in English and Spanish through Putnam Books for Young Readers on June 24, 2025.
