The actress is set to make a grand return to the big screen in the upcoming sports drama 'Marty Supreme', co-starring Timothee, due to a special request from her daughter, Apple Martin.

AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, will grace the silver screen once again in the A24 film "Marty Supreme." The actress, who last appeared in a major motion picture in 2019's "Avengers: Endgame", was inspired to return to acting after her daughter, Apple, 20, shared her long-standing crush on Timothee Chalamet, 28.
Chalamet, who has recently been romantically linked to Kylie Jenner, is not only the lead actor but also a producer in "Marty Supreme". When Apple learned of this, she reportedly pleaded with her mother to join the cast.
"After reading it and loving it, despite having no major wish to act right now, she was convinced by Apple, who intends to be on set as much as possible," a source told DailyMail.com.
The film is inspired by the life of Marty Reisman, one of the most accomplished American table tennis players of all time. Chalamet's character is said to draw inspiration from Reisman.
Paltrow, who won an Oscar for "Shakespeare in Love" in 1999, will share the screen with a star-studded cast that includes Fran Drescher, Penn Jillette, Kevin O'Leary, Odessa A'zion and Tyler, the Creator.
Since scaling back her acting career to focus on her wellness brand, Goop, Paltrow has primarily appeared in minor roles in television shows. However, her return to the big screen in "Marty Supreme" marks a significant milestone in her career.
The film is directed by Josh Safdie, known for thrillers such as "Uncut Gems" and "Good Time".
Despite her return to acting, Paltrow has emphasized that she remains committed to Goop, which she founded in 2008. However, she has not ruled out future acting opportunities if they align with her schedule and personal commitments.
