Anna Kendrick, known for portraying Beca in the 'Pitch Perfect' franchise, has revealed her eagerness to reprise her role in a potential fourth installment.

AceShowbiz - Anna Kendrick has expressed her excitement about the possibility of returning to the "Pitch Perfect" universe. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the premiere of her directorial debut, "Woman of the Hour," Kendrick enthusiastically discussed the prospect of a fourth film.

"Oh, my God, I know I would love that," the 39-year-old actress exclaimed. "I keep saying, I feel like Rebel [Wilson] is really like the steam engine of everything. So as long as she keeps saying it might happen, I'll believe it."

Wilson, who played the beloved Fat Amy in the franchise, has previously hinted at the potential for a sequel. Earlier this year, she teased plans for a fourth movie, fueling speculation among fans.

While Kendrick acknowledged that Wilson's enthusiasm is a driving force in the potential revival, she also hinted that it might require a collective effort from the cast.

The "Pitch Perfect" franchise, which follows the lives of the collegiate a cappella group the Barden Bellas, has garnered widespread popularity since the release of its first installment in 2012. The subsequent films, "Pitch Perfect 2" and "Pitch Perfect 3," were also well-received by audiences.

Kendrick's new thriller movie, "Woman of the Hour," serves as an unintentional reunion for the "Pitch Perfect" cast, as it also features her costars Chrissie Fit and Kelley Jakle. The film is based on the true story of Cheryl Bradshaw, who unknowingly matched with serial killer Rodney Alcala on "The Dating Game" in 1978.

Despite her successful transition to directing, Kendrick expressed her desire to continue acting. "Directing wasn't a big problem," she told PEOPLE. "I'm happy. And we can move on."
