AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs further received backlash over a newly resurfaced video, which also featured Justin Bieber. In the said footage, the disgraced rapper could be seen seemingly trying to check the pop star for a police wire.
The clip, which was allegedly taken in 2021, saw the two musicians greeting each other in an outdoor setting. Diddy, who wore a pink hoodie from Justin's clothing line Drew, approached the "Ghost" singer who stood next to a black SUV.
Diddy later appeared to ask Justin a question, to which the Canadian star replied by shaking his head "no." The Bad Boy Records founder then touched Justin's chest over his black T-shirt. Diddy first lightly touched Justin with his knuckles, before changing it with the palm of his hand.
Before the video ends, Diddy was filmed whispering something into the singer's ear before he left. As the rap mogul got into his car, he could be heard telling the then-teen star, "Love you." It's unknown why they were being filmed.
After the video was shared online, it quickly went viral with many sharing their opinions on the bizarre interaction. "Paranoia," an Internet user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Trying to play it safe, nothing more," another added.
"If you were going to check someone to wear a wire, you would have it done by one of your security people when they arrive," someone else commented. "Not when you are departing from their presence are they departing from yours. This is a bunk idea."
A recent report, meanwhile, claimed that Justin is struggling with emotional distress following the arrest of P. Diddy, his former mentor and close friend, on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, fraud and transportation to engage in prostitution. The singer allegedly is in a difficult mental space due to his long-standing history with Combs.
The scandal has deeply affected Justin, who has been advised to maintain distance from the situation. His wife Hailey Bieber (Hailey Baldwin), meanwhile, was said to be trying to protect her husband amid personal turmoil.
