During his appearance on '96.1', the Atlanta legend reveals that his last performance will be when he headlines this year's Jingle Ball, which is set to take place at State Farm Arena on December 19.

AceShowbiz - T.I. makes a shocking announcement. During his appearance on "96.1", the rap legend broke his fans' hearts when he stated that he's planning to retire after his performance at the 2024 Jingle Ball.
"I appreciate y'all," he told the "96.1" hosts. "Offering me my last working gig. I do not need the money anymore and I will not be performing."
The hosts were unsurprisingly shocked by the rapper's remarks, asking him to elaborate. "I don't wanna do it anymore," the hip-hop star, born Clifford Harris, explained. "I don't want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for they entertainment anymore."
Upon catching wind of T.I.'s retirement plan, fans seemingly remained supportive. Referring to T.I.'s son King Harris who is expecting his first child, one fan wrote in an Instagram comment, "He's preparing to become a Grandfather!" Echoing the sentiment, another added, "Job well done king! Its about family. He got grand kids. I aint mad at that!"
Some others joked that T.I. could live the rest of his life comfortably without working after she and Tiny won a $71 million lawsuit against MGA Entertainment. "Him and tiny just won a 71 million dollar lawsuit I don't blame him," a fan opined. "That $70 million will have you saying F**K IT," another noted.
T.I.'s last performance will be when he headlines this year's Jingle Ball, which lineup also includes T-Pain, Sexyy Red, Tinashe and Khalid. Itis set to take place at State Farm Arena on December 19.
T.I. had been teasing retirement since 2023. In an interview with Baller Alert that year, the husband of Tiny (Tameka Cottle) said, "My last album is 'Kill the King', which will be, you know, it's gon' be edgy, energetic." He added, "So I'ma end up doing two albums. One will be 'Kiss the King', and the other will be 'Kill the King'."
