Eilish, 22, expressed her regret in a cover story for Vogue published Tuesday about being so frank in past interviews, saying she wishes no one knew anything about her personal life. "I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever," she said. "And I hope that they never will again."

The singer emphasized that she will no longer discuss either her sexuality or her dating life, stating, "I'm never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I'm never talking about who I'm dating ever again."

Eilish's decision stems from a series of incidents where her openness about her personal life blew up in headlines. Last year, she was put on the spot about her orientation during a red carpet interview with Variety, leading to her feeling pressured to come out as bisexual. The singer criticized Variety for outing her on social media.

In a subsequent interview with Rolling Stone, Eilish expressed her frustration over having to address her sexuality publicly, stating that she had never planned on talking about it. However, she also made provocative comments about her attractions, saying she was "in love with girls for my whole life."
