The director of 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,' is reportedly in talks to helm the sequel, 'Doctor Strange 3,' and potentially the fourth installment of his 'Spider-Man' trilogy.

AceShowbiz - According to insiders, Marvel Studios is close to finalizing a deal with Sam Raimi to direct "Doctor Strange 3". The film would follow the success of Raimi's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", which grossed over $955 million worldwide.

No plot details have been released for "Doctor Strange 3", but it is expected to continue the cliffhanger ending of "Multiverse of Madness", where Stephen Strange teams up with Clea to fight impending incursions.

While a third "Doctor Strange" movie has not been officially announced, Raimi's involvement suggests that Marvel is considering a sequel. Fans can also speculate on whether he will return to the world of "Spider-Man", following his successful trilogy in the 2000s.

Raimi has previously expressed interest in directing a fourth 'Spider-Man' film with Tobey Maguire, stating that he would need a compelling story to justify its existence. However, it has been reported that Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" sequel instead.

Despite this, Raimi has indicated that he remains open to working with Marvel Studios again. "I'm on great terms with them," he said. "I'm sure I would hear about [a fourth 'Spider-Man' film] if it was in the works."

Whether or not Sam Raimi ultimately returns to the "Spider-Man" franchise, his rumored involvement in "Doctor Strange 3" is a testament to his filmmaking prowess and the potential for exciting collaborations within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
