AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Matt Barnes and his fiancee, Anansa Sims. The engaged couple has welcomed another child together, a baby boy named Austin Matthew Barnes. The newborn was born on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, weighing 8 lbs. 5 oz. and measuring 22 inches long.
"Mommy, Daddy, your brothers and sister love you so much!" the couple captioned their joint Instagram announcement.
This is the couple's second son, following the birth of Ashton Joseph Barnes in 2018. Barnes is also the father of high school-aged twin sons, Carter and Isaiah, from his previous marriage to Gloria Govan. Sims has three children from her marriage to David Patterson Jr.
Barnes, who played 14 seasons in the NBA, has always prioritized his role as a father. He recently got a tattoo featuring the names of all his children, including Anansa's, symbolizing their united family. Anansa expressed her gratitude for Barnes's love and support, saying, "Loving each other and loving all of our kids as our own is an answered prayer of mine. Blended and Blessed."
Barnes retired from the NBA in 2017 after winning a championship with the Golden State Warriors. Since then, he has launched the "All The Smoke" podcast.
