Patrick Mahomes is having a laugh at the expense of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce after collecting on a bet they made involving their alma maters.

AceShowbiz - Patrick Mahomes is having a laugh at the expense of his teammate, Travis Kelce, after collecting on a bet they made involving their alma maters. On the latest episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Kelce opened the show by donning the Red Raiders mascot head from Mahomes' Texas Tech University.

The bet was made before last weekend's games, where Texas Tech defeated Kelce's Cincinnati Bearcats 44-41. "It smells exactly like our hockey equipment," Kelce said of the mascot head to his brother, Jason Kelce.

Mahomes couldn't resist poking fun at Kelce, tweeting "WreckEm" along with a clip of Kelce wearing the mascot head. Jason Kelce also chimed in, joking about the similarity between his brother and the Red Raiders mascot. "Honestly, there's not that big of a difference," Jason said. "It kinda looks like the same person."

Despite winning the bet, Kelce wasn't particularly thrilled with his own performance against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. Though he recorded 89 yards, he didn't feel he played up to his usual standards.

"A big game is like, I score a touchdown or something," Kelce said on the podcast. "I was accountable this game, I didn't have any drops... I didn't have an outstanding game."

However, Kelce emphasized that the only thing that matters is his team winning, which the Chiefs have done with a 4-0 record so far this season. "Everything outside of the building is just noise," Kelce said. "I helped my team find a way to win and that is all that will ever matter."
