AceShowbiz - Neil Perry, a member of the popular country trio The Band Perry, has embarked on a new chapter of his life by eloping with his now-wife, Sofia Sclafani, on September 4 in the serene landscapes of Wyoming. The couple, who moved to Nashville at the beginning of 2023 to facilitate Neil's work on his debut solo album, decided to take this momentous step amidst the whirlwind of life changes.

"With all the life changes happening at once, we decided to take our wedding as an opportunity to slow down," Neil, 34, exclusively shared with PEOPLE. The couple chose Brush Creek Ranch outside of Saratoga, Wyoming, as their romantic getaway destination, which lies halfway between California and Tennessee - their respective homes.

For the first time in nearly two years, the couple turned their phones off and indulged in their favorite pastimes like riding, fly fishing, wing shooting, photography, and savoring red wine as the sun set. The picturesque and intimate setting served as the perfect backdrop for their nuptials, where they tied the knot in a quiet, outdoor ceremony.

The wedding day carried a touch of serendipity. "The day began clear as can be, not a cloud in sight, until moments before our outdoor ceremony," Neil recalls. "We ended up waiting in separate cars for an hour until the good-luck rain passed. The storm blessed us with the most beautiful light during our 'I dos'."

As they exchanged vows, Neil told Sofia, "No moment with you has been less than the best moment of my life … from testing out my shellfish allergy on a Mississippi road trip, to deciding to run off to Wyoming - just the two of us - to start forever, we have done 'us' in a way only we can." His poignant words deeply touched Sofia, further solidifying their bond.

The day after their wedding, they embarked on a thrilling ropes course challenge, reflecting their adventurous spirit. Neil fondly remembers, "We put it all on the line 40 feet up in the sky." The newlyweds continued the celebration, spending the week savoring their vanilla buttercream wedding cake and basking in newlywed bliss before heading off for their honeymoon.

Neil's engagement to Sofia was announced in January 2023. The musician had largely kept his relationship private, making this revelation all the more special to his fans.
