AceShowbiz - Robert Downey Jr. apparently always makes those around him happy. When making an appearance at the 2024 Emmy Awards, the leading man in "Iron Man" had a shocking reaction to a photographer's request.
On Sunday, September 15, the 59-year-old Marvel star attended the 76th annual awards ceremony, which took place at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. At the event, he hit the red carpet with his wife Susan Downey.
Robert and Susan took their time to strike some poses in front of photographers for pictures together. Before aiming their faces at the camera, the wedded couple had a quick conversation. While Susan was smiling from ear-to-ear, Robert showed a stoic facial expression.
Upon learning of Robert's serious expression, one of the photographers told the actor to smile. In response, he flashed his radiant big smile for a few seconds before saying, "I don't see you smiling," prompting the photographers to burst into laughter.
The "Dolittle" actor went on to say, "Let me see you... there we go, buddy!" He further stated, "If we do it together, the world is a better place" before posing again. In the meantime, his wife was watching him interact with the photographers. She was giggling while standing next to him.
On the red carpet, Robert and Susan, who appeared in good spirits, were not shy to show their affection towards each other. They were holding hands as they stood side-by-side. While she placed her hand on her waist, he put one of his hands inside the pocket of his pants.
Robert looked clean in a formal all-blue outfit, including a button-up shirt and tie. He also sported a suit, which he wore buttoned, and a pair of long tailored pants that came with a wide leg design. He completed the look with a pair of shades and glossy black leather shoes.
As for Susan, the 50-year-old film producer flaunted her beauty in a long pink gown. The strapless and sleeveless dress was fully covered with sparkling sequins. In addition, she styled her long tresses in loose waves and parted them in the middle.
