AceShowbiz - Kyle Chrisley, 33, was arrested on aggravated assault and resisting arrest charges on September 9. According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office police report, Chrisley and his wife, Ashley Chrisley, called police for help with a man threatening them.

Chrisley told police that Kentravis Moore, a mechanic who had allegedly done work for him, was demanding more money than agreed upon. Chrisley claimed that Moore returned to his home and rammed into his wife's car.

Moore gave a different account, stating that Chrisley answered the door and grabbed a knife from his toolbox, attempting to stab him several times. Moore said he ran to his car to escape, while Chrisley admitted to throwing a jack handle at Moore's car.

Police observed a cut on Moore's arm and holes in his shirt, consistent with his account. A knife matching Moore's description was later found.

Chrisley initially denied using any weapons, but later admitted to grabbing a piece of wood or the handle of a car jack.

During his arrest, Chrisley resisted by refusing to place his hands behind his back. Officers had to place him on the ground and force his hands into custody.

Following his arrest, Chrisley and Ashley Chrisley told In Touch that they believe police sided with Moore because of Chrisley's famous last name. He claimed that Moore was fabricating the story due to similar allegations made against Chrisley in the past.

Chrisley has a history of legal issues, including a previous arrest for aggravated assault in March 2023. Those charges were later dropped.
