Rapper 50 Cent has dropped his defamation lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy, who accused him of rape and physical abuse, while the custody battle between them continues.

AceShowbiz - Rapper 50 Cent has decided to withdraw his defamation lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy Narvaez. The lawsuit stemmed from Narvaez's accusations of rape and physical abuse in March 2024.

According to TMZ, 50 Cent has requested a judge to dismiss the suit "without prejudice," indicating that it could be refiled in the future. The decision follows a series of online exchanges between the two involving custody of their son, Sire.

50 Cent alleges that Narvaez's initial accusations were made in retaliation to his decision to seek sole custody of Sire. He claims that she named him in a lawsuit against music mogul Diddy, who was accused of sexual abuse, in order to damage his reputation and custody case.

Narvaez has denied the abuse allegations and has since deleted the Instagram post in which she made them. Since then, both parties have sought to avoid further conflict on social media.

The defamation lawsuit, while now dropped, does not affect the ongoing custody battle between 50 Cent and Daphne Joy Narvaez. 50 Cent is seeking sole custody of Sire, citing concerns about Narvaez's alleged involvement in a sex trafficking lawsuit against Diddy, which could potentially endanger their son.

50 Cent has been adamant about keeping his son safe and protecting him from any potential harm. The custody battle remains unresolved, and the court's decision will ultimately determine the future care of their child.
