The lead guitarist of the legendary rock band Queen assures he is on the mend after having the 'scary' little health hiccup that caused him to lose temporary control over his arm.

AceShowbiz - Brian May, 77, shared a video on his website on Wednesday, September 4 informing fans of his health scare. He explained that he temporarily lost control of his left arm due to the stroke and was taken to the hospital.

"The good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days," May said. "And I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago, and what they called it was a minor stroke."

May praised the excellent care he received at his local hospital and is now recovering at home. He emphasized that he does not want sympathy and has been ordered to rest and avoid strenuous activities.

"I didn't want to say anything at the time because I didn't want anything surrounding it. I really don't want sympathy, please don't do that," he said.

May's recent health issue comes after he suffered a heart attack in 2020 and injured his gluteus maximus in a gardening incident.

May, who co-founded Queen with Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor, is also a renowned environmentalist and astrophysicist. His recent documentary on badger culling sparked controversy, leading to speculation that the stress may have contributed to his stroke.

Fans have expressed support and well wishes for May's recovery. He remains a beloved figure in the music world, having contributed to iconic Queen songs like "We Will Rock You" and "The Show Must Go On".
