Upon her arrival at the school, Gomez was greeted with cheers and laughter. She addressed the crowd, expressing her desire to attend the game after seeing the sign. The singer participated in a group photo with the team and signed autographs in the crowded hallway.

Celebrity friends of Gomez's, including Zoe Saldana and Ashley Park, praised her kind gesture. Gomez's boyfriend, Benny Blanco, also expressed his admiration.

While in Telluride, Gomez attended the Telluride Film Festival on behalf of her upcoming film "Emilia Perez," a musical comedy and crime film about a lawyer who receives an unexpected offer to help a cartel boss disappear. The film stars Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Edgar Ramírez and is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in November.
