AceShowbiz - Spotted: Jessica Szohr as a blushing bride in all white. The "Gossip Girl" alum tied the knot with Brad Richardson on August 11 in a picturesque ceremony at the Pine Canyon luxury golf club in Flagstaff, Arizona. The star-studded event included close friends and family, among them Nina Dobrev who served as Maid of Honor, and her partner Shaun White. Other notable attendees included CW star Chace Crawford.
"It was the most magical, beautiful day, filled with the people we love the most," Szohr told The Knot in an exclusive interview. She added, "It was just a really fun group of people, and it was beautiful to have everyone together." The couple, who had initially considered exchanging vows in Italy, ultimately chose Flagstaff for the memories they had created there as a family.
For the ceremony, Szohr donned a sparkling Galia Lahav high-neck gown with a floral neck cuff and cut-outs, paired with Christian Louboutin red bottom heels. The bride made her grand entrance to Leon Bridges' "Beyond," escorted by her little brother Nick. "When I turned and saw all these faces I love, it looked like something out of a picture," she noted. "Everything was so beautiful."
A significant detail of Szohr's bridal attire was her custom veil, featuring a special quote from her late grandfather embellished in crystals, "Take Time to Smell the Roses." "My grandpa was such a huge part of my childhood, and he always said that to us," Szohr explained. This sentiment was woven into the fabric of the day, from her bohemian-inspired floral arrangements to the heartfelt moments shared with loved ones.
The celebration didn't end with the ceremony. At the after party, the newlyweds shared their first dance to "Faithfully" before Szohr changed into a custom mini strapless dress by Galia Lahav, adorned with crystals and feathers. The night unfolded with joyous dancing and revelry.
Following the nuptials, the bride gave a shout-out to her maid of honor, Nina Dobrev. Along with a teary-eyed emoji, she expressed her immense gratitude to Dobrev for helping her with the wedding. "Hands down best MOH of all time… Sorry for anyone who's about to be one… You can't touch what Nina servers. From jump to honeymoon… not a chance! Thank you Nina for showing us what the f**k is up! ILYSM," she wrote.
Szohr and Richardson first went Instagram-official in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Bowie Ella Richardson, in January 2021. The couple announced their engagement in May 2022. Reflecting on their journey, just days before proposing, Richardson posted a Mother's Day tribute to Szohr, expressing, "Happy Mother's Day to an amazing mom and person. We love you!"
The wedding was not just a union of love, but of family and friendship, creating memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime for Jessica Szohr and Brad Richardson.
