AceShowbiz - Topher Grace, who reprised his role as Eric Forman on "That '90s Show", will not be returning to the series after its third part. In the seventh episode of Part 3, Eric's wife, Donna (Laura Prepon), reveals that he has been offered a life-changing job at Skywalker Ranch.
"He's going to Skywalker Ranch to shadow George Lucas and write a book about the making of the new Star Wars movies," Donna tells their daughter, Leia (Callie Haverda).
Eric's departure from the show is prompted by a rapid succession of events. Donna explains that he received the call, packed his belongings, and bid her farewell in Wookiee. He will now be living in California, far from his family home in Wisconsin.
Donna plans to divide her time between her work in Chicago, their family home in Wisconsin, and California with Eric. Grace's exit from "That '90s Show" comes after he previously appeared in the series premiere episode alongside original cast members Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. However, all three have yet to make a return to the Forman's residence.
Additionally, Wilmer Valderrama, who reprised his role as Fez in the first season, has also not returned. In an interview with PEOPLE, Valderrama explained that his busy schedule on "NCIS" does not allow him enough time to appear on "That '90s Show."
Kunis and Kutcher have also confirmed that they are not returning to the series. The showrunner, Gregg Mettler, has stated that while they "always hope to have everybody back," scheduling conflicts make it difficult to accommodate all legacy cast members.
"That '90s Show" is currently streaming on Netflix.
