AceShowbiz - Sofia Vergara has expressed skepticism about her ex-husband Joe Manganiello's denial that differing views on having children led to their divorce. In an interview with Variety, Vergara, 52, stated, "At the end of the day, you never even know if that's what he said for real." She explained that she had read various comments attributed to her and questioned their accuracy.
Manganiello, 47, recently denied Vergara's previous assertion that he wanted children while she did not. He claimed they had tried to have a family for the first year and a half of their marriage and that he had pledged to stay with her regardless of the outcome.
Vergara expressed frustration, stating, "To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis... That's never who I was." However, she shared that she respects Manganiello's desire to start a family and emphasized that her decision not to have more children was personal.
Vergara also revealed that the key to her happiness is "not thinking too much." She believes in staying active and focusing on the present rather than dwelling on the past.
Meanwhile, Manganiello has expressed frustration over Vergara's portrayal of their divorce, stating that it "wasn't inevitably why everything ended." He attributed their separation to a lack of connection, which can occur in any relationship.
Vergara previously stated that she and Manganiello parted ways because she did not want to be an "older mom." She has a 32-year-old son from her first marriage and expressed her desire to be a grandmother rather than a mother again.
