The 'Chrisley Knows Best' star will appear in court in person for her resentencing hearing in September after a judge denied her request to appear virtually.

AceShowbiz - Julie Chrisley, 51, has been ordered to appear in person for her upcoming resentencing hearing in Atlanta on September 25. Chrisley previously requested to attend the hearing virtually, citing the hardship of traveling from FMC Lexington in Kentucky, where she is currently incarcerated.
Her attorney argued that having her transferred via the Oklahoma City transfer facility or by van while shackled would cause "undue physical hardship." However, the request was denied by a federal judge.
Chrisley and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were convicted in 2022 on bank fraud and tax evasion charges and sentenced to 19 years in prison. Todd Chrisley's sentence was reduced to 10 years, while Julie Chrisley's was vacated in June due to insufficient evidence proving her involvement in the scheme before 2007.
In the June ruling overturning Julie Chrisley's seven-year sentence, the appeals court found that the judge "did not identify the evidence it relied on to hold Julie accountable for losses incurred before 2007." The case was sent back to the lower court for resentencing.
Despite the appeals court's decision, Todd Chrisley's 10-year sentence was upheld. The Chrisley family has expressed optimism about Julie's resentencing, stating that they believe her sentence will be reduced in accordance with the appeals court's instructions.
Julie Chrisley's new hearing is scheduled for September 25, 2024, at 10 A.M. in Atlanta. She will be required to appear in person, as a regular inmate.
