AceShowbiz - Rachel Lindsay, former star of "The Bachelorette" season 13, has shared her candid reflections on her engagement and divorce journey, revealing that she initially felt "weirded out" and "scared" after accepting Bryan Abasolo's proposal.
"I was very quiet on the way home," the 39-year-old admitted on Curtis Stone's "Getting Grilled" podcast. "I was weirded out."
Despite her initial hesitations, Lindsay said she eventually realized they shared common interests and potential. However, the pressure of being engaged after the cameras shut down was daunting.
"When you get engaged at the end, it's the scariest day," she said. "You have this ring on your finger, and there's this man, and for the first time, you ride in the car together... It's like, this is the beginning of your new life."
After their 2017 engagement, Lindsay and Abasolo married in 2019 but separated in 2024. Abasolo filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
Lindsay has since spoken out about the challenges of their relationship and divorce. She is currently navigating the dating world and remains committed to her desire to start a family, a topic that was addressed in a video posted by Abasolo's divorce coach.
