AceShowbiz - Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) is learning that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the gripping continuation of "Power Book II: Ghost". As he faces mounting threats and personal dilemmas, the protagonist's battle to escape his father's shadow intensifies.

In the final trailer, Tariq, Monet (Mary J. Blige), and Diana (LaToya Tonodeo) are held at gunpoint, foreshadowing the life-or-death stakes that await them. A somber Davis MacLean (Cliff "Method Man" Smith) appears, and Tariq has a long-awaited reunion with his estranged mother, Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton), who has been in witness protection.

According to the synopsis, Tariq is "stuck between a rock and a hard place" in the final five episodes, forced to choose between leaving the criminal underworld or taking over his father's empire. Meanwhile, his allies and enemies grapple with their own daunting challenges.

The Tejada family, trapped by Detective Carter (Michael Ealy), faces an uncertain future as their safety hangs in the balance. As Tariq grapples with his impending fatherhood and the complexities of his relationship with Brayden (Gianni Paolo), he faces a realization: his deepest similarities to Ghost (Omari Hardwick) may be pushing him closer to danger. Despite his desire to avoid his father's fate, Tariq's denial threatens his well-being.

"Tariq really doesn't think he's like Ghost, but the world knows," said Rainey Jr. in an interview with PEOPLE. "That definitely will be brought to the forefront a lot more this season."
