AceShowbiz - Podcaster Taylor Strecker has made shocking allegations against Eric Stonestreet, the Emmy-winning actor from "Modern Family". In a June 25 chat with "Summer House" star Paige DeSorbo on Amazon Live, Strecker claimed Stonestreet was "nasty" and unprofessional during an interview.
According to Strecker, Stonestreet, 52, was booked on her podcast to discuss his role on "Modern Family". However, the actor was allegedly more interested in promoting his partnership with Pepto-Bismol. Strecker, unaware of this sponsorship, failed to bring it up during the interview.
"So we're talking, we're talking. I'm like, you know, just being my adorable self. And he's like, 'So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?' " Strecker recalled.
When Strecker downplayed the topic, Stonestreet allegedly said to her, "Somebody didn't do their homework." Strecker said, "I said, 'I'm sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? The answer is no. So that's your job to figure out, not mine.' "
Strecker did not reveal when the interview took place, and there is no record of it online. Stonestreet's representatives have not commented on the allegations.
This incident has reignited discussions about Stonestreet's public image. While his character on "Modern Family" was known for his affability and humor, Strecker's experience suggests a disconnect between the actor's real-life personality and his on-screen persona.
Stonestreet has previously admitted that he is different from Cam Tucker. "I didn't realize how much I compete with the character I play on TV," he said in 2017. "My character is really outgoing and fun. I'm not as outgoing and as fun."
Strecker's allegations have resonated with some viewers, who have shared similar experiences with Stonestreet. However, many fans remain skeptical and have expressed disbelief at the claims.
