AceShowbiz - Kyle Richards has publicly defended her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky's decision to gift their 16-year-old daughter, Portia, a $90,000 Porsche as her first vehicle.
Speaking to TMZ, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star expressed her belief that Portia "deserves" the expensive car. She emphasized her daughter's academic performance, stating, "She's a straight A student. She's a good kid."
Richards also clarified that the Porsche was not as expensive as reported, though she acknowledged the criticism she and Umansky received. She explained that the purchase was Umansky's idea.
Despite their split in 2023, Richards referred to Umansky as her "husband" during the interview. She said, "He works very hard and you can talk to him about [the car]. That was his purchase."
The surprise gift was made public when Portia's sister, Sophia, posted a video on TikTok. Portia was overcome with emotion when she saw the black luxury vehicle parked outside their home.
Richards recently confirmed that Umansky had moved out of their marital residence. She described the experience as "strange" and said, "Everything's so quiet."
The couple, who were married for 27 years, share three daughters: Alexia, Sophia, and Portia. Richards also has a daughter, Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, from a previous relationship.
