AceShowbiz - On June 20, Peso Pluma unveiled his highly anticipated sophomore album, "Exodo", a sprawling double album that showcases his versatility and commitment to globalizing regional Mexican music.
The album is divided into two distinct discs: the first features 16 corridos, Peso Pluma's signature style, while the second disc comprises eight hard-hitting trap and hip-hop songs. Collaborations on the album include Cardi B, Quavo, Rich the Kid, Ivan Cornejo, Neton Vega and Luis R Conriquez.
Disc one delivers back-to-back corridos powered by Peso's signature sound, featuring a horn-driven instrumentation. Disc two highlights his slick rapping skills, showcasing a different side of the artist.
"Exodo" is a testament to Peso Pluma's continued dominance in the music industry. In 2023, he was Billboard's Rookie of the Year and his debut album "Genesis" made history by becoming the highest-ranking Mexican music album on the Billboard 200. The album also won the Grammy for best música mexicana album.
Despite his success in the regional Mexican genre, Peso Pluma is eager to introduce himself to a new audience through his collaborations with hip-hop and trap artists. These collaborations, along with his slick rapping skills, showcase his versatility and willingness to push boundaries.
Peso Pluma is currently embarking on his "Exodo Tour," which includes upcoming stops in Miami, Dallas, Nashville, and Atlanta.
