Sabrina Carpenter addresses rumors of a falling out with close friend Taylor Swift following her appearance in a campaign for Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand, Skims.

AceShowbiz - Despite swirling rumors and raised eyebrows about her recent collaboration with Kim Kardashian's Skims brand, Sabrina Carpenter affirms there's no strain on her friendship with Taylor Swift.

The "Espresso" singer, 25, who stunned fans by appearing in a campaign for Skims in April, during a break from performing on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, addressed the speculation in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

Many wondered if this partnership would cause friction given Swift's well-documented history with Kardashian. However, Carpenter assured everyone that her friendship with Swift remains strong, revealing that she had been "very communicative" about the situation with Swift from the start.

"As much as people want to believe you're tuned into every little thing, I'm not because I'm constantly working," Carpenter explained. She emphasized that her interactions with Swift about the collaboration were open and supportive. "In that scenario, I've been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end."

Despite some fans' concerns, Carpenter noted that the job didn't cause any "weirdness" for her. She also addressed the tendency of fans to jump to conclusions, stating, "I know people will just say things because that's all they have time to do." The campaign itself featured Carpenter posing in various Skims undergarments in nineties-inspired settings, capturing a retro vibe complete with cordless phones and Discman players.

Carpenter didn't limit her praise for Swift. She expressed her deep admiration for the superstar, saying, "I hold her to such a different echelon. I could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she's done." She shared that Swift had even played her tracks from her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department", ahead of its release, including songs like "But Daddy, I Love Him."

The friendship between the two pop stars appears to be more than skin-deep. Carpenter spoke about their mutual support and admiration, stating, "We're very, very verbal with each other about our mutual love and admiration."

Interestingly, Carpenter is not the only one of Swift's friends to participate in Skims campaigns. Lana Del Rey, another notable name in Swift's circle, also took part in the brand's Valentine's Day 2024 campaign. This kind of cross-collaboration hints at more matured relationships outside of past feuds, clearing the air for fans who may still be stuck on past drama.

Ultimately, with Carpenter dispelling misconceptions and reaffirming her loyalty to Swift, it seems that their friendship stands unshaken by outside opinions or industry affiliations.
