The King Aegon II depicter shares in a new interview what his character is planning to do following a surprising death in the season 2 premiere of the 'Game of Thrones' spin-off.

AceShowbiz - "House of the Dragon" star Tom Glynn-Carney is weighing in on his character's shocking move in the show's season 2 premiere. Speaking with PEOPLE, the King Aegon II depicter shared what his character is planning to do following a surprise death in the Sunday, June 16 episode.

[SPOILER ALERT] In the premiere episode of season 2, fans were shocked by the brutal death of Prince Jaehaerys, Aegon's son, in front of his mother Queen Helaena Targaryen (Phia Saban). The plan was actually to kill Prince Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) in revenge of Queen Rhaenyra's (Emma D'Arcy) son Lucerys, but the men that Daemon (Matt Smith) hired to kill Aemond slaughtered the poor toddler instead.

When asked if Aegon will come up with a revenge, Tom said, "Look, when something as tragic as a tragic thing happens, it leaves a stain on a human being to the point of probably no return." The 29-year-old actor continued, "It's a dangerous thing to happen to a very vulnerable and fragile and volatile human being."

Meanwhile, Phia previously teased that the sophomore season of the "Game of Thrones" spin-off would make fans sympathize with the Greens more. "I think that we do some s**t, but we regret it. And hopefully, you'll see some tenderness as well," she shared at the New York City premiere of "House of the Dragon".

As for Ewan, he said that his character Aemond is "the most wanted man in the realm" in this new season. "I think season one very much established this family's world on a knife's edge and all it was going to take was a push from either side to draw blood - and Aemond drew first blood," he revealed, referring to Lucerys' death after his dragon went out-of-control in season 1 finale.

According to Ewan, Aemond "wished he was treated as the first [son], but ultimately he's the spare." He added, "He's the one who goes out and fights the war. He feels that Aegon lacks the perseverance to be king - he was the one who squandered his inheritance."

"And Aemond, he was training with Criston Cole in the Red Keep yard. So yeah, they're very different, but maybe they need each other," he continued.
