AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes has shown off his new tattoo, only to be mocked online. The Canadian singer/songwriter has been mercilessly roasted by social media users after he debuted his NSFW ink on his arm.
On Sunday, June 16, the 25-year-old took to his Instagram Story to post a shirtless snap of him. Capturing his right arm and a part of his bare chest, the photo highlighted his fresh ink depicting a couple in a compromising position.
The tattoo, which is a work by tattoo artist Kane Navasard, features a woman fondling a man who appears to nuzzle her breasts. Both of them seem to be naked. It is located on Shawn's biceps, above his "Wonder" tattoo.
As explained by Kane who first posted the picture of Shawn's tattoo on his Instagram feed and Story, the tattoo is inspired by an artwork of Puerto Rican artist Guanina Cotto. "A fun piece for @shawnmendes. Original artwork by the talented @comoeloro," the tattoo artist captioned the snap on his feed.
But not all were impressed by Shawn's new tattoo. After his Story was reposted on Pop Faction's Instagram page, many mocked him in the comments section, with one accusing the "Treat You Better" crooner of having "mommy issues."
"Breast feeding??" another quipped about the image depicted in the tattoo. Another similarly wondered, "Is he breast feeding." A fourth user claimed, "When you trying to show people your straight please we knows ur suck ….. d ….. like Justin."
Meanwhile, fans have shown love to Shawn's new tattoo. "I love shawn's tattos. I have to recognize that those lines look perfect," someone commented on Kane's post. Another gushed, "in shawn is so cool."
"Shawn's tattoo collection is expanding. We love a hopeless romantic," a third fan sang praise for the former boyfriend of Camila Cabello. A fourth fan exclaimed, "omg so cool this tattoo."
