AceShowbiz - On the upcoming December 12 episode of John Mayer's SiriusXM show, "How's Life", Shawn Mendes discussed a past love triangle that has sparked much speculation.

In a preview clip, Mendes seemingly addressed the rumored entanglement with Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Cabello. He recounted, "I'm with someone. Two days before going to hang with my ex, I express I'm going to hang with my ex because I have unresolved feelings. Maybe instead of two days it could have been two weeks."

Mendes added, "The biggest lesson I've heard is no one gets out of this life without getting hurt, and no one gets out of this life without hurting someone."

These comments align with rumors that circulated in early 2023. At the time, Mendes was reportedly dating Carpenter, but he denied the relationship. Soon after, he was spotted reuniting with ex-girlfriend Cabello.

While none of the parties involved have directly addressed the situation, many fans believe Carpenter's song "Taste" contained references to Mendes and Cabello. The song includes lyrics such as, "If you want forever, I bet you do / Just know you'll taste me too."

In September, Cabello appeared to make a subtle nod to the drama during a performance of "Senorita" with Mendes at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. She intentionally paused before singing the word "taste" and glanced at the audience with a knowing smile.

Prior to their second split in 2023, Cabello and Mendes had initially parted ways in 2021. Cabello has since expressed her continued love and care for Mendes, while Mendes praised her as a "thoughtful" and "caring" person.

As for Carpenter, she had a brief romance with Barry Keoghan, which recently ended according to a source.
