The 'Flowers' hitmaker shares a candid experience with her mother's potent marijuana and addresses her complex family relationships on David Letterman's 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction'.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus, the 31-year-old "Flowers" singer, recently made headlines during her appearance on the fifth season of David Letterman's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction". During the show, Miley opened up about her experience with her mother Tish Cyrus' exceptionally strong marijuana. The potent weed was so intense that it even caused rapper Wiz Khalifa to have a panic attack and left Miley herself unable to drive for days.

While Miley, who has led a mostly sober lifestyle in recent years, rarely smokes weed, she recounted an incident where she took "the smallest puff ever" from her mom's joint. "I couldn't drive for what felt like three days, and I didn't know who I was," Miley revealed to Letterman. Despite this experience, she joked that she usually fakes it "to be cool" for her mom.

Miley's introduction of marijuana to her mother came about as a way to help Tish manage her anxiety. Reflecting on this, Miley shared how her mother initially hesitated, saying, "OK, but just don't tell anybody 'cause I'm a good Christian woman." However, once Tish tried it, she "had the best time and smoked weed ever since."

Besides discussing her experiences with her mom's weed, Miley also delved into her relationship with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. The two share a complicated history, especially after Billy Ray and Tish divorced in 2022 and remarried different partners. With Billy Ray's swift subsequent divorce, Miley expressed that while she still loves her father, her mother is her true hero. "I inherited the narcissism from my father," Miley candidly admitted. Nevertheless, she acknowledged Billy Ray's influence on her as an artist, stating he provided her "a map of what to do and what not to do."
