AceShowbiz - Rihanna is embracing her real hair amid criticism over Fenty Hair. The Grammy Award-winning singer has shown off her natural curls in a new photo with a fan after she was under fire for announcing her haircare line despite always wearing wig.

In the picture making rounds on the internet on Sunday, June 9, Rih appeared to be out and about in New York when a fan bumped into her. In the image, the Barbadian beauty ditched wig for her natural short curly hair which was dyed blonde.

The "Umbrella" hitmaker appeared to wear minimal makeup as she pouted her lips to the camera and flashed a V sign while posing with the female fan on the street. She accessorized with a pair of quirky shades, a pair of huge hoop earrings and a thick necklace.

According to Daily Mail which obtained other photos from Rih's outing on Sunday, she stepped out solo in layered black and gray bras. She wrapped a plush brown fur coat around herself and added loose-fitting black trousers that bunched at her ankles.

Rihanna showed her natural hair on the outing after she was blasted online for announcing Fenty Hair despite always wearing wig. She even wore a wig in the promo for her new haircare line.

Someone was shocked to see Rih's natural hair after seeing the Fenty Hair ad. "wait so the modeling for the hair brand she's been doing was all just a wig," one person commented on the singer's photo with the fan.

Another accused Rihanna of showing her real hair because of her haircare line. "Now all of a sudden lol," the said critic wrote. A third troll said, "At this point just stay with the wig lol," while another mocked the star, "And it's unhealthy and looks awful."

Some others came to Rihanna's defense, with a fan saying,"In all fairness if she did only show her natural hair for her hair care line she would’ve gotten flamed by social media since it's short. majority of hair care lines only show long hair in the media." Another claimed, "We've seen Rihanna without a wig, tf are they talking about?"

Rihanna announced on June 4 that she will be launching Fenty Hair, a new haircare line that will cater to all hair types and textures, on June 13. She appeared in a one-minute teaser where a blonde Rihanna strutted through "Mane Street".

According to Rihanna, the line is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair. "I've had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural," she said in the caption of her announcement. "So I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need!"
