Teresa Giudice's husband, Luis Ruelas, has taken out a $1 million loan, raising concerns about the couple's financial situation following Teresa's past legal issues and her ongoing federal debt.

AceShowbiz - Luis Ruelas, the husband of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice, obtained a $1 million loan three months ago. This comes less than four years after the couple purchased a $3.35 million mansion in Montville, New Jersey.

According to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Luis, 49, took out the loan from an LLC based in Florida on March 25. Documents indicate that Luis was the "sole member" of an LLC that bought the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home in January 2021. The timeframe for repaying the loan is unclear.

The loan raises questions about the couple's financial stability, especially considering Teresa Giudice's past legal troubles. In 2014, she pleaded guilty to tax fraud and served over 11 months in prison in 2015. Her ex-husband, Joe Giudice, also served more than three years for the same charges and was deported to Italy in 2019.

Teresa  reportedly still owes the federal government over $615,000 in back taxes as of October 2023. Her attorney has stated that she is making regular payments towards this debt.

On the current season of "RHONJ", Teresa's rival Margaret Josephs alleged that Ruelas had "pissed [her] money away." Teresa denied this, accusing Josephs of creating a "false narrative."

Luis is also involved in a $5 million lawsuit with attorney Kevin S. Johnson, alleging economic injury due to damaging emails fabricated by Johnson. Luis maintains that his reputation has been "damaged beyond repair" as a result.

Despite the financial challenges, Teresa and Luis married in August 2022 and currently live in their Montville mansion. However, their ongoing legal and financial issues remain a source of concern and continue to be a topic of discussion on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey".
