AceShowbiz - Jeannie Mai makes sure she and her daughter still enjoy life despite her ugly divorce from Jeezy (formerly Young Jeezy). The TV personality has taken her daughter Monaco on a trip to Philippines, which she documented in pictures and videos.
On Wednesday, June 5, the mother of one made use of her Instagram page to share the photos and videos capturing their fun moments on the holiday. In some snaps, the mother-daughter-duo hit the beach in Coron, Palawan Island.
Monaco, who is affectionately called Coco, held on to her mother's shoulders as she made a goofy face to the camera. Meanwhile, a video showed Coco's bilingual skills as Jeannie asked her daughter to say "water splash" and "sand" in Vietnamese.
In another video, Jeannie and Coco shared some noodles. Another clip showed Coco hilariously fighting for butter with her mother in what looks like a plane before she eventually ate it.
In the caption, Jeannie gave a shout-out to Filipinos. "Where are my Filipinos???!!" she wrote. She also shared what she and her daughter enjoyed so much during their vacation in the country, adding, "It's offish. Coco loves noodles, sisig, bangus, chicken binakol, dinguan, and duh halo halo. And @hiltonmanila you made my Mariah dreams come true with kare kare in da tub. Our summer's just gettin started hunnay."
In the comments section, many gushed over the mother and daughter's interaction. Ludacris' wife Eudoxie Bridges was amused as he wrote, "Her fighting for the butter and actually eating it is hilarious." Singer/actress Amirah Vann agreed as saying, "Her stealing that butter is the best thing I've seen all week love her!"
A third person commented, "It's the butter for meeeeeeeee." Tia Mowry gushed, "Beautiful beautiful ladies," as another added, "LOL she stole your noodles but seriously how is she so big?"
Jeannie enjoyed the tropical vacation with Monaco while she and Jeezy are still fighting over the custody of their child. He has been fighting for court mandated joint custody, while she has accused her estranged husband of abuse and putting their daughter in danger with his gun possession.
Jeezy, however, has denied the allegations. "The allegations are not only false, but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved," he said in a statement posted on Instagram in April. "This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous."
The 46-year-old added, "It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court mandated joint custody. Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels."
