The TV personality is mom-shamed for allegedly not giving proper care on her daughter Monaco's curly hair, while she is all dolled up in the pictures with the 2-year-old girl.

AceShowbiz - Jeannie Mai's love for her daughter apparently did not translate well in her recent social media post. The TV personality has been criticized by parenting police after she posted pictures with her daughter Monaco on Valentine's Day.
In the images, the mother of one dressed up in an olive green top and black skirt while accessorizing with a golden bracelet. She posed solo in one of the images and was holding her daughter in other snaps. The 2-year-old girl wore nothing but a blue diaper while sporting her natural curly hair.
"This is your reminder that your love can be pure," she wrote in the caption. "That you are not the last one standing when you yearn for a love that stands on solid ground, and is faithful. This is your reminder that this kind of love is alive here today, because you are alive today. So long as you believe and never cease to love in this way."
The 45-year-old continued, "Appreciate the many ways this pure kind of love finds its way to you. Rest your head, shed your armor, delight in the childlike freedom of that vulnerability. You belong there. You are chosen there. Happy Valentines Day Mai Fam."
While Jeannie seemingly wanted to capture the sweet moment in the photos, some people were not having it over Monaco's appearance. She was accused of not giving proper care on her daughter's afro hair, while she was all dolled up in the shots.
"Ok. Please get the proper car for your daughter's hair texture. It's unique and requires different attention," one critic told Jeannie. Another similarly urged her, "do that baby hair omfg."
"Please do Monaco's hair. Curly hair is weaker than straight. Therefore it need extra attention and nourishment to protect it," a third explained. Another complaint read, "How are you beat from head to toe and your daughter isn't? Comb her hair put some clothes on her SMH."
"The fact that this was posted and you all dolled up," a fifth commenter reacted to the photos. Someone else added, "Why post your child's pic in a diaper? She's too young for informed consent."
Some others, however, have come to Jeannie's defense. Disagreeing with the critics, one of them stated, "There is NOTHING wrong with that babies hair." Another pointed out, "Y'all do know that sometimes kids can be kids, they don't have to have hair done. Plus some kids don't like it and if you know toddlers then you know sometimes the fight isn't even worth it, she looks happy and as a mother that's all that matters."
Hitting back at the mom-shamers, someone penned, "Gosh this world is evil! Monaco looks adorable! Her hair is fine! It's a fro so let's check slef hate at the door." Another wrote, "Y'all kill me with the hair thing like [Beyonce Knowles] didn't do the same thing and now blue Ivey hair longer that all y'all's," while someone else simply said, "Love Monaco afro."
Jeannie shares her daughter Monaco with Jeezy (Young Jeezy), who filed for divorce in September 2023 after only two years of marriage. The estranged couple is still embroiled in a custody battle over their only child together.
