AceShowbiz - Hayden Christensen and Rosario Dawson, who play Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano respectively in the Disney+ series "Ahsoka", recently shared their thoughts on the emotional reunion and significant storyline developments in the show's fifth episode, "Shadow Warrior".
The episode reunites Anakin and his former Padawan, featuring a flashback to the World Between Worlds and a younger version of Ahsoka portrayed by Ariana Greenblatt. Christensen, who had previously appeared as Darth Vader in the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" series, returned to the Jedi side in this episode.
Christensen expressed excitement about exploring Anakin's past and future: "I was really excited to get to explore Clone Wars-era Anakin... George [Lucas] had filled me in on his backstory as a great warrior and decorated general. To get our feet wet with that in live-action was a real privilege."
Dawson echoed Christensen's enthusiasm for the episode: "I was really looking forward to working with Hayden and exploring a different side of Ahsoka." She highlighted Ahsoka's emotional journey as she grapples with the complexities of Anakin's character and her own past.
The conversation also included tributes to the late costume designer Shawna Trpcic and co-star Ray Stevenson, who played the first season's villain. Filoni praised Stevenson's gentle nature off-screen despite his menacing on-screen persona.
"Shadow Warrior" explores the spectrum between light and dark, with Ahsoka facing the weight of her past and Anakin guiding her towards a more balanced path. The episode serves as a captivating reunion for the beloved characters and expands upon the rich lore of the "Star Wars" universe.
