AceShowbiz - Marvel Studios' "Captain America: Brave New World" continues its reshoots, sparking speculation about new characters and plot details. During the latest round of reshoots, a photo emerged from the set that depicts peculiar creatures hanging by their tails.
These creatures resemble the Orloni, small rodent-like animals from the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies. However, an alternative theory posits that they might be Gamma-mutants created by Dr. Samuel Sterns, known as The Leader.
In addition to the enigmatic creatures, another set image reveals Giancarlo Esposito in full costume as a mystery villain. He appears formidably armed with knives on his chest and a large weapon holstered on his side. While the actor's specific role remains unknown, it is speculated that he may portray an assassin hired by Mayor Wilson Fisk or a character from the Serpent Society.
The addition of Esposito's character is part of an overhaul to the script by writer Matthew Orton. The reshoots are said to have injected the film with "an antagonistic agent of chaos" who will pose a significant threat to Sam Wilson, the new Captain America.
The film's cast includes Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Harrison Ford as General Ross, Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon, Shira Haas as Israeli superheroine Sabra, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader. Julius Onah directs the movie, written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, with Matthew Orton contributing additional scenes. "Captain America: Brave New World" is scheduled for release in theaters on February 14, 2025.
