The 'Fall in Love with Me' singer talks about adopting an off-grid lifestyle, emphasizing the benefits of a digital detox and how she found clarity and creativity away from social media.

AceShowbiz - Country music artist Morgan Wade, 29, has charted a new course for herself, one that leads away from constant digital distractions and towards a more grounded and healthy lifestyle. In an exclusive discussion with PEOPLE, Wade delves into the significant changes she has seen in her mental health since opting to live "off the grid."

"I've seen a big change in the last 30 days by getting rid of distractions," Wade reflects. Distractions like incessant phone usage and social media scrolling have long been a part of her daily routine, but the "Fall in Love with Me" singer decided it was time for a digital detox.

"I look at this as a digital detox because it's like, I'm not sitting there playing on my phone. I'm not scrolling, I'm not doing all that," Wade explains. Instead, she puts her phone on Do Not Disturb mode and stays logged out of all social media platforms, a practice she has maintained for over a month.

Instead of engaging in mindless scrolling, Wade now dedicates her time to reading, which has sustained her mentally and provided a welcome escape.

As part of her new lifestyle, Wade has established a morning routine that focuses on mindfulness and physical fitness. "I like to read and I journal," she says. "I just try to write down a few things that I'm grateful for and start my day off right."

After that, she heads to the gym for a couple of hours, ensuring she stays physically active and takes her vitamins regularly. According to Wade, this shift in focus has allowed her to hone in on activities that genuinely matter and contribute positively to her well-being.

Running plays a pivotal role in Wade's newfound routine, impacting her both mentally and physically. She recently completed an ultramarathon and finds that running inspires her creatively as an artist.

"I come up with all kinds of ideas," Wade reveals. Occasionally, her runs lead to creative epiphanies that she promptly records on her phone as voice notes to remember later.

Wade's passion for running made her partnership with Brooks Running a natural fit. The company's Let's Run There campaign emphasizes the idea that everyone is on their own unique path, and encourages people to unlock the best in themselves - a sentiment that resonates deeply with Wade.

"I was super excited because those are the only running shoes that I use," she says. Reflecting on her long-standing appreciation for the brand, she adds, "My friends, they bought me a pair of Brooks Running shoes, the first pair of running shoes I had, and I've been using those ever since."

For Wade, aligning with a brand that promotes health and mental well-being was a no-brainer. "Anything that pushes me to continue to be healthy and have that good mental head space is something that I'm happy to be involved with," she concludes.
