AceShowbiz - Pixar president Jim Morris has confirmed that an "Inside Out" TV series is currently in production for Disney+ and is slated to premiere in 2025. Entitled "Dreams Productions", the series will delve into the realm of Riley's dreams, as depicted in the 2015 blockbuster film "Inside Out".

"Inside Out" introduced viewers to the anthropomorphized emotions of 11-year-old Riley and the Dream Productions studio responsible for producing her dreams and nightmares. This upcoming series will explore this imaginative cinematic landscape further.

While details about the show's plot and characters remain under wraps, it is known that showrunner Mike Jones will helm the project. Production commenced concurrently with the sequel film, "Inside Out 2", which is set for theatrical release on June 14.

Furthermore, Pixar is considering third installments for both its Incredibles and Finding Nemo franchises, but greenlighting future Disney+ series will depend on the performance of its first two shows. Morris has stated that the company intends to differentiate between theatrical and streaming releases, with only series being produced for Disney+.

"Inside Out 2" will feature returning cast members Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black as Joy, Sadness, and Anger, respectively. Tony Hale and Liza Lapira join the cast as Fear and Disgust, while Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adele Exarchopoulos and Paul Walter Hauser lend their voices to Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment.

Pixar's shift in focus towards theatrical success after a period of releasing films directly to streaming services is evident in this announcement. The studio aims to maintain a clear distinction between its big-screen offerings and its streaming-exclusive content.
