Although the 'Only Murders in the Building' star is more careful with what she shares about her private life, she doesn't blame her producer boyfriend for being a bit too frank about it.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez has finally addressed Benny Blanco's comments about wanting to build a family with her. Responding to her boyfriend's family plans, the "Only Murders in the Building" star suggested that she's not afraid of it.
"He can't lie to save his life," the 31-year-old quipped during a sit-down with TIME after Benny's quotes were brought up. "If he's asked a question, he'll answer it."
Although she is more careful with what she shares about her life, she doesn't blame Benny for being a bit too frank. "I know what people can do to people I love," she explained. "My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life. But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him."
"It's really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him," the former Disney darling continued. "I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that he's not going anywhere any time soon."
Selena went on to reflect, "I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it." She then detailed, "A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone."
Benny expressed his aspirations to become a father on "The Howard Stern Show" earlier this month. When questioned specifically about having children with the singer, Benny revealed, "It's always a topic of conversation to me every day." The producer also disclosed that he frequently gazes at the actress and tells her, "I don't know a world where it could be better than this."
Although Benny declined to comment on proposing marriage, he expressed his contentment in their relationship, stating, "I take everything a day at a time." He also mentioned that he has been purchasing "really good stuff" for Selena as they approach their one-year anniversary of dating, which coincides with her birthday in July.
