Cardi B Teases Title of Upcoming Sophomore Album

The 31-year-old Grammy-winning femcee, who previously declared that she won't release the new album this year, teased the title of the highly-anticipated set through Instagram Story.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B may not release her upcoming album this year. However, it doesn't mean that the "WAP" hitmaker will stop giving fans updates on the record.

Earlier this week, the 31-year-old teased the title of the highly-anticipated set. "What y'all think my album name is?" she asked her online devotees while covering what appeared to be the title with her hand.

There were only three letters that were displayed, "CRE," However, there were the words "Creative and Strategic" underneath the femcee's hand.

In May, Cardi announced that she decided to pause the release of her sophomore album. It happened after fans pushed her way too much to drop the set, ruining her celebratory mood after she was honored by Spotify for having four songs with over a billion streams.

"Wooow FOUR songs that hit the billion mark on Spotify!! Women lie, men lie...numbers don't," Cardi exclaimed at the time. "I'm so excited to put out new music and reach even more milestones. Thank you everyone for listening, it really means a lot...can't wait for you to see and hear what's next."

Fans, however, expressed frustration over the album delay instead, with one writing, "No but just announce the album...let's not talk about rollouts either." Social media personality KenBarbie defended Cardi B, explaining that she has been communicative with her fans regarding her postponement.

Cardi later reacted, "Exactly and I tell myself this all the time... and I hate that I fall back and start interacting again and it bites me in the ss…anyway NO album this year I don't care I'm relaxing this year." She went on to note, "Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer."

Doubling down in another response to a critic, Cardi wrote, "YEUP ITS NOT DONE CAUSE THERE IS NO ALBUM." She added, "Congrats you won a prize for your answer …here's your prize [middle finger emoji]."
