The three stars opt for botanical-inspired looks to fit the 'Garden of Time' dress code at the big charity event, which takes place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

AceShowbiz - Lizzo turned heads at the 2024 Met Gala, thanks to her bizarre look. To fit this year's garden theme, the "It's About Damn Time" hitmaker cosplayed as a tree in a sheer brown gown with a massive headpiece created by designer Victor Weinsanto when arriving at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Sunday, May 6.

The skin-toned corseted gown was filled with petals and completed with a headpiece that surrounded her face and extended out in a flower shape. Of his creation, Weinsanto explained to The Hollywood Reporter, "The gown features these sprays of dried flowers, so I wanted to play with the beauty of a rose through its lifecycle, using different tones and just mixing from my palettes."

Internet users, however, were not feeling Lizzo's look that night. "I'm sorry, it's giving fish," one person commented. "Waffle cone," another simply said, while someone else compared it to a "dirty coffee filter."

Some others criticized the "Truth Hurts" singer's presence amid her legal trouble, with one asking, "why are you inviting people with sexual assault cases against them." One user suggested, "Her invite should be revoked."

Meanwhile, also coming with a botanical-inspired look that night was Nicki Minaj. The "Barbie World" raptress honored the "Garden of Time" dress code by transforming into a floral sculpture at the bash, wearing an avant-garde design by Marni's Francesco Risso.

The Trinidadian star flaunted her hourglass figure in the mini dress featuring a hand-painted golden silk duchess material. The ensemble was covered in 3-D metal flowers that were also hand-painted various sprightly hues.

Lana Del Rey's look at the 2024 Met Gala was also worth pointing out. Returning to the annual event for the first time since 2018, the singer stepped in a custom design by Alexander McQueen's Sean McGirr.

The "Summertime Sadness" songstress looked ethereal in a corseted dress in silk, double georgette and tulle. Sean added all hand-embroidered with hammered bronze-bullion hawthorn branches, which were inspired by the patina and form of sculptures made by the Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti.

Adding dramatic sense to the ensemble, it featured a special headpiece using natural hawthorn branches and draping them with a veil of sheer tulle. Completing her look, Del Rey carried a bronze metal Drop bag embellished with a clock detail.
