AceShowbiz - In the early hours of Thursday morning, May 4, Britney Spears was photographed barefoot and wrapped in a blanket as she was escorted out of the iconic hotel by paramedics and her new boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz. Sam Asghari, who divorced Spears in April, reportedly "feels terrible" for his ex-wife.
A source close to Asghari told Us Weekly that the incident is "heartbreaking" for him to witness as an outsider. "Sam will always have a soft spot for Britney and will always be protective over her," the source said, adding that Asghari "is a helper and was there for her in her hardest times. He hopes she is OK."
Asghari, 30, reportedly finds the hotel drama involving Spears, 42, and Soliz "definitely worrisome." "He has been down this road with Britney before and knows how she is," the source said.
Spears has denied reports that she was involved in an altercation with Soliz, claiming instead that she twisted her ankle. However, sources told TMZ that the couple had a "huge fight" at the hotel and that Spears was "harassing and threatening hotel employees and guests."
Despite their separation, Asghari remains concerned about Spears' well-being. "Sam feels terrible if she is not surrounded by positive people in her life," the source said, adding that Asghari "will always wish [Spears] the best and would be there for her if she needed him."
