AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift fans have reacted to the latest announcement shared by "Saturday Night Live". After the comedy sketch show revealed that Sabrina Carpenter and Jake Gyllenhaal will be on the same episode, Swifties couldn't help to share their opinions on the matter.
In an Instagram post uploaded on Wednesday, May 2, it was unveiled that Sabrina will make her "SNL" debut in the season finale on May 18. Jake, meanwhile, will return as a host, marking his third time leading the long-standing sketch show.
Many have since offered their two cents. "Pairing one of Taylor Swift's best friends with her ex is kinda wild," one person in particular wrote, while another added, "SNL you are messy for this Jake/Sabrina combo!!!"
A third quipped, "Wow. SNL chose violence on May 18." A different individual chimed in, "Jake with sabrina? It was rare i remember it all too," referring to Taylor's song "All Too Well", which people believe is about the "Prisoners" actor.
Someone else joined in, "If there is not a sketch on All too Well, it's gonna be a riot." The other fan was seemingly excited as they wrote, "Jake and Sabrina have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever."
Last year, Sabrina joined Taylor on several dates of the latter's "Eras Tour". The "Tall Girl" star was also spotted hanging out with the 34-year-old Grammy-winning pop star and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at Coachella last month.
As for Jake, his history with Taylor dates back more than a decade ago. The pair reportedly began dating in the fall of 2010 before going separate ways ahead of New Year's Eve. The "Spider-Man: Far From Home" villain is now in a romantic relationship with model Jeanne Cadieu.
