AceShowbiz - The hype for the next James Bond film is still there, though there's still no concrete update from the planned 26th installment. It's made evident with people's response to a fan-made trailer that imagines a future Bond movie with Henry Cavill and Margot Robbie starring in it.
The fake trailer was uploaded to YouTube on Saturday, April 13 and depicts the British actor as 007. The trailer, which uses a mix of footage from other movies and artificial intelligence, features a dramatic voiceover which says, "...the world is too small for both of us."
"What makes you think this is my first time?" someone, who sounds like Cavill, could be heard asking, suggesting that this may not his first time as 007. The trailer also features "Barbie" star Robbie as Bond girl.
The video originates from the YouTube channel KH Studio, which writes underneath the video, "Please note that this video is a concept trailer created solely for artistic and entertainment purposes. I have meticulously incorporated various effects, sound design, AI technologies, movie analytics, and other elements to bring my vision to life."
"Its purpose is purely artistic, aiming to entertain and engage with the YouTube community," it continues. "My goal is to showcase my creativity and storytelling skills through this trailer. Thank you for your support, and let's dive into the world of imagination!"
Despite the note, many people are apparently still curious to see how a Bond movie with Cavill and Robbie would look like. The video has received more than 2.4 million views since its release.
Meanwhile, in the comments section fans voiced their support for the "Man of Steel" star to be next Bond amid swirling rumors about several actors who were reportedly circling the role, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson (formerly Aaron Johnson).
"Henry Cavill bloody well owns the role! He is perfect! Powerful sexy and ultra classy. Shaken not stirred needs that man!!!!! Bond on steroids!" one person reacted to the video. Another pleaded, "Can someone please start a petition to make Henry the next James Bond? I have nothing against Aaron Taylor but will all know Henry was the best fit for this."
"Henry would make a GREAT 007. I hope they will cast him one day for that role," a third penned. Someone declared, "Henry has the swag and debonair for 007 period!" One other chimed in, "YES YES YES! Henry Cavill could be the next James Bond. Watch 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.' Henry will be a great Bond, James Bond."
Cavill, who has been named as fan-favorite to play Bond, recently spoke on rumors that he could one day play Bond. "I have no idea. All I've got to go off is the rumors, so it's the same information you have," he said during an appearance at "The Rich Eisen Show". "Maybe I'm too old now, maybe I'm not. We'll see. It's up to Barbra Broccoli and [co-producer] Mike Wilson, so we'll see what their plans are."
