AceShowbiz - Steve Buscemi is set to join the cast of Netflix's "Wednesday" Season 2, Variety and Deadline report. The upcoming season of the Jenna Ortega-led comedy is based on the "Addams Family" spinoff and will follow Wednesday Addams' experiences as a student at Nevermore Academy.

Buscemi's role is currently undisclosed, but he joins a cast that includes Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, and Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams. The season also features Thora Birch, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Naomi J. Ogawa, Joy Sunday, and Percy Hynes White.

Other notable cast include Gwendoline Christie, who played Principal Larissa Weems in Season 1. However, Christie's character died in the previous season, and it remains uncertain if she will return.

Buscemi has an acclaimed career spanning both film and television. He has starred in notable films such as "Fargo," "The Big Lebowski," and "The Waterboy." On the TV side, he received an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Tony Blundetto in "The Sopranos" and won an Emmy for his short-form series "Park Bench with Steve Buscemi."
