Harrison Ford's Thunderbolt Ross wants Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson to rebuild the Avengers, but they seem to have disagreement in the first footage of the upcoming Marvel movie.

AceShowbiz - Marvel Studios is entering a new era with "Captain America: Brave New World", which was introduced at CinemaCon during Disney's presentation on Thursday, April 11. Kevin Feige and Anthony Mackie traveled to Las Vegas to attend the event and debut first look at the highly-anticipated movie.

The clip opens at the White House, where Mackie's Sam Wilson has been summoned by Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford), who is now president. He asks Sam to help him rebuild the Avengers. However, Sam wonders what happens if they disagree on how to manage the new team.

The footage then jumps to Ross making a presentation to a room full of authorities. Suddenly, loud music begins playing in the meeting, to Ross' confusion. The music somehow manages to trigger something in former soldier Isiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), who attempts to kill the president.

"Our inner circle has been compromised," Sam tells Thunderbolt. At other moments, however, the President and the super soldier seem to be in conflict. "You're not Steve Rogers," POTUS says, and Sam retorts, "You're right, I'm not."

The movie picks up after the events of the 2021 Disney+ series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and sees Sam fully embracing his new role as Cap after struggling to take the shield left behind by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). At the presentation, Feige described the fourth "Captain America" film as "another fast-paced, relatively grounded action thriller" while noting "there's no alien."

"Brave New World" also stars Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, the U.S. Air Force lieutenant who has become the new Falcon with Sam's promotion, along with Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas and Liv Tyler. Julius Onah ("The Cloverfield Paradox") directs the movie, which is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on February 14, 2025.
