Paris Hilton, Queen Latifah and More React to Lizzo's Shocking Retirement Announcement

The 'Juice' hitmaker receives lots of love and support from fans and fellow stars alike after she decided to take a step back from music industry amid harassment lawsuit.

AceShowbiz - Following her shock announcement on Friday, March 29, that she was quitting the music industry, Lizzo has received an outpouring of support from fellow stars urging her to reconsider.

The "Juice" singer, 35, stunned fans when she revealed on Instagram that she was "tired of being dragged by everyone" and criticized for her appearance.

Among those rallying around Lizzo are Paris Hilton, Todrick Hall, and Queen Latifah. Hilton wrote, "We love you queen," while Hall commented, "The art you make changes and saves lives." Latifah penned, "F that do you [love emojis]" while Destiny Child singer Letoya Luckett declared, "You are deeply loved."

Lizzo's post came just a day after the lawyer for her three ex-dancers, who sued her for sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment, slammed President Joe Biden for allowing her to perform at his $25 million fundraiser.

The lawsuit, filed last August, alleges that Lizzo subjected her dancers to demeaning treatment, including weight-shaming and forcing them to touch a nude performer at a strip club in Amsterdam.

Lizzo has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them "unbelievable" and "outrageous."

Despite the controversy, Lizzo has received widespread support from fans and celebrities alike. Drag queen Asia O'Hara wrote, "Even though we don't deserve you, we still need you." American actor Josh Gad said, "The people who shout the loudest or the people who are the most insecure."

In her Instagram post, Lizzo expressed her frustration with being criticized for her appearance and feeling like the world didn't want her. However, the outpouring of support she has received suggests that she is still a beloved artist with a loyal following.

As of February, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge had denied Lizzo's request to dismiss the lawsuit filed by her former dancers. The case is set to go forward.
