The 'Bugatti' rapper jokingly explains the difference between his generation of rappers and the new ones, sparking laughter and discussion online about the evolution of the genre.

AceShowbiz - Atlanta rap legend T.I. has ventured into the world of stand-up comedy, and his latest performance includes some pointed jabs at the new generation of Trap rappers.

In a viral clip from his stand-up set, T.I. playfully compares his generation of Trap rappers, including himself, Jeezy, and Yo Gotti, to their younger counterparts.

"The first generation of trap music, people like me, Jeezy, Yo Gotti, we were rapping about things we had done, got away with, and moved on," T.I. explains. "You hear me?"

He then contrasts this approach with the new wave of Trap rappers, saying, "You listen to [this] new age Trap music? Oh, they [are] talking 'bout sh*t they finna do tomorrow, you feel what I'm saying?"

T.I. argues that the lyrics of these new rappers often incriminate themselves, a trend he finds amusing. "They're talking about things they're going to do in the future, like they're asking for trouble," he quips.

This isn't the first time T.I. has commented on the current state of Hip-Hop. Last month, he expressed concerns about the overcrowding in the genre and noted the prevalence of both exceptional and mediocre talent.

"This generation reminds me of every other generation," T.I. said. "You got some people who are exceptionally dope, and some people who are just alright."

He continued, "But it's a lot more of it to choose from now... I feel that, actually, what they've done with music is equivalent to if they were to open up the doors of the arena and say, 'Anybody think you can play basketball? Come on out the stands out here to the floor.' "
